Published on November 1st, 2022, Stormy the Little Cat is a children’s book written and illustrated by Red Meegs.

Inspired by her real-life cat, Stormy, and his playful personality, it is a cute story with lots of positive messages for children and emergent readers.

It’s available in both English and Japanese.

The real-life Stormy was rescued as a kitten after being found on the side of a highway after a week of terrible rain and flooding. He was adopted into Red Meegs’ home with her other two cats. Named as inspiration for strength from surviving the storms, he took a different kind of inspiration and became a storm in his own right.

His health recovered quickly and soon he was playing, running, jumping, and getting into all sorts of trouble. With a strong sense of curiosity and a head full of ideas, he is always busy and is always making his family smile and laugh. His never-ending energy and sweet, pure heart make it easy for anyone to fall in love with him.
